AiiPT Phonetics Workshop

Phonetics is a science and a study of speech sounds. The sounds of human speech are very intricate and have been studied for centuries. Through the history of linguistics as a science, phonetics has always been an integral part of language acquisition. Noting with its paramount importance, Aii Language Center, Phsar Thmey Campus conducted the Phonetics Workshop. It was presented by our ESL teacher to our students. The primary purposes of the workshop were to allow students to be acutely aware of how speech is produced using our speech organs, what are the properties of speech sounds in the air as they travel from the speaker’s mouth to the ear of the listener, and how we distinguish speech and recognize its structural components of certain phonetic symbols.
